Random Question

Q: If I asked a question a while ago (several 'what's new' updates since), and you have still not answered it does it mean:

a) It was a bad question?
b) You do not know the answer?
c) The answer is easily findable in the vaults?
d) You did not receive the question?

Should I expect an answer eventually? How many questions go by unanswered?

A: Without knowing what your question was, we can't say why it wasn't answered. We receive many questions every day and have a limited volunteer staff answering questions. Many questions don't get answered because they are already answered in the vaults or elsewhere on Ask Erowid. Many don't get answered because we don't know the answer, although these questions are often stored until we have the time to hunt down an answer. Occasionally, questions don't get answered because they're bad questions - either they're phrased poorly and hard to understand, or they're asking for information we can't give (such as asking where to buy drugs). Sometimes questions can take a long time to get answered for no other reason than that we are busy. Unfortunately, we can't take the time to write and tell everyone our reasons if we can't answer one of their questions.
